　　Some people think that employers should give staff at least four weeks holiday per year to improve their job performance. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

　　We live in a fast-pace world, full of stress and pressure, which can drain energy and motivation from people. So, it has been argued that to maintain and even enhance the performance of employees, companies should consider offering a minimum of 4 weeks’ vacation time in any given year. I strongly support this position, as it allows time to rest, relax and rejuvenate. Spending time with family and friends, and traveling to new places, breaks the cycle of a dull, day-to-day routine. (82 words)

　　Enjoying the company of family and close friends is enjoyed in all cultures. Often people can become so involved in their work, their careers, they lose sight of the important things in life; the people who love and care for them. Spending quality time relaxing with loved ones strengthens bonds. What’s more, having the time-out to pursue other interests outside of work, revitalizes people, refreshing their spirit and in a sense is therapeutic to the mind, body and soul. (79 words)

　　Having the opportunity to travel, experiencing new surroundings, food and even culture breaks the monotony of daily life. It can bring about a change in perceptions. People can often become jaded, finding themselves in a rut if they don’t take time-out to get away from the daily grind. Furthermore, being fully rested, not only makes a person complete, but driven, enthusiastic as well as productive in both their home and work lives. (72 words)

　　So, in conclusion, long holidays with quality time spent with loved ones, enjoying old hobbies or new experiences are to be encouraged. Due to the fact they regenerate and stimulate interest in the world they move in. It brings a sense of harmony, boundless energy as well as productivity, which shines through in everything they do.
