　　The flow chart below shows how a fruit tin is produced. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

　　The flow chart clearly depicts a 14-step process for the production of canned fruit, namely pears. This sequence of events begins with harvesting, and eventually ends with distribution to consumers in the market place. (34 words)

　　At the beginning of the process, the fruit is first harvested and then sent to the factory for handling. In the plant, the fruit is sorted, and right after, held in cold storage at 10 degrees Celsius. Then, three more important steps take place, these being washing, grading and also weighing. In the next stage, the pears are peeled, and following that, are cut into halves and placed into cans where juice or syrup is then added. In the subsequent phase, the tins are sealed and at this point, the food is cooked, as well as made sterile. Later on, after the tin containers have cooled sufficiently, they are then packed, and finally made ready for shipping by truck to supermarkets. (121 words)
