　　尜”这个字本身就形象地展示出了这个玩具的外型，两头尖而小，中间大。

　　东北的版本做出了一些改变，因为我们通常会用一根鞭子来抽它，便于它在冰上无尽地旋转。

　　这么有技术含量的活动，对于我这种笨手笨脚的人来说实在不易，但是在一次又一次地努力之后，看着它旋转的时间越来越久，实在是太有成就感了。

　　This is really a great topic that brings me back to my childhood. I grew up in the north east part of China. A place that is freezing in winter. A place where we have a lot of fun outside on the ice. Except for ice skating and skiing, we also love to play a toy which is a kind of spinning top.

　　这个特别赞的话题将我带回到了童年时代。我在中国东北长大，那是一个冬季无比寒冷的地方，一个冰上活动十分丰富又充满快乐的地方。除了滑冰和滑雪，我们还会玩冰尜儿。

　　I got my first spinning top as a gift when I was 8. It was a hand-made gift from a relative. It was not extremely big with delicate and colorful paint on the surface. Quite beautiful. I didn’t know what it was and asked my father about it. He laughed and told me to put on my coat and scarf and took me outside.

　　我八岁的时候得到我的第一个陀螺。那是一个亲戚送我的手工礼物，不太大，外表五颜六色的，很精致。我一开始不知道那是什么东西，就问了我爸爸。他笑着让我穿上外套、戴好围巾，带我出了门。

　　We went to an icy lake and my father took out a whip. Then he put the top on the ice and started to hit it with the whip. I was astonished when I saw the top spinning. It spun so fast that the colors almost disappeared. Fantastic! I couldn’t wait to give it a go.

　　我们去了一个冰湖，只见我老爸拿出了一个鞭子。他把尜儿放在冰上，开始抽它。看到它开始旋转以后我无比震惊。它转得如此快，颜色都快看不到了。太神奇了!我迫不及待地想要试一下!

　　However, I waved the whip a few times and couldn’t even touch the top. I was a bit frustrated and wanted to give up. However, seeing my father being so skillful at playing it, I somehow got my fight back. My father taught me some useful skills and I practiced for a few more times. Finally, I made it. The top started to spin and each time it spun for longer time. I was tremendously delighted. Gradually, it became one of my favorite winter activities.

　　然而我挥了几次鞭子都抽不到它，实在是有点沮丧，有点想放弃了。可看着我爸技术娴熟地挥舞鞭子抽尜，突然激发起了斗志。我爸教了我一些技巧，我又练了几次，终于成功了。陀螺开始旋转，而且每一次转得时间都比上一次更久。这让我十分愉悦。慢慢地，抽尜儿成了我最爱的冬季活动之一。
