Furthermore, we certainly cannot push all schoolchildren to learn calligraphy especially those who do not have any interest in it at all. As a consequence, this skill should not be compulsory in schools.

　　On top of this, those people excessively estimate thepracticability of handwriting. It used to be a basic skill in the past, but no longer in contemporary society. Modern students are having fewer and fewer opportunities to write by their hands, since some related new technologies have changed the way they study and write. Almost all teaching materials are being done in an electronic format, and the homework and assignments are required in E-copies too. To be precise, young students nowadays are freely using many types of electronic devices to take notes, do homework, and write essays. Relative to handwriting, typing is the skill that deserves more attention from those young generations.

　　In summary, as the era advances, a growing number of traditional skills are disappearing, and unquestionably this tendency is unstoppable. Young students, in modern society, do not need to learn the skill of handwriting, like they need to learn how to use a stove to cook instead of drilling wood to make fire.
