雅思口语Part2 8分素材： 不想做的工作！

　　This is quite a difficult question for me as I don't have a lot of knowledge about different jobs. Nevertheless, I canthink of some jobs that I've heard about from other people, so I'll talk about one of them. Well, I'm thinking about the service industry where people work in hotels and restaurants. A friend of mine is a waiter in a restaurant, and he has told me several stories of customers who have shouted or even thrown things at him. From my experience as a patron, I've been to many hotels and restaurants and seen some troublesome customers on some occasions. It made me think how tough it must be for the employees to serve these people and try to keep them happy. Despite this, my friend tells me that he really enjoys his job. He gets a lot of job satisfaction and the hours of work suit him. In my opinion, he must be a very patient guy to be able to stay calm under such pressure and to continue speaking politely to these people. I'm not sure I would be able to contain my anger if someone was aggressive towards me. Also, the fact that he has to work split shifts wouldn’t suit my lifestyle. He works some unsociable hours in the evenings and at weekends, whereas I like to work during the day and have a social life in the evening. That's why being a waiter would be totally unsuitable for me. There must be hundreds or thousands of people who work in this industry, and I'm sure a lot of them enjoy what they do, but it's definitely not my cup of tea.
