  雅思口语8分素材:Part2 一个拥挤的地方范例

China has a very high population particularly in the cities, so there are many places that get crowded depending on the time of day, whether it's a public holiday or which season it is. For instance, on a daily basis, I commute to work via the subway, and this has to be one of the most crowded places you can find early in the morning and in the evening too. My colleague, Sam, and I often meet onthe street before we go down into the subway because we would not be able to travel together if we tried to meet in the subway. This is because when we get there, it is usually already jam-packed with people waiting to get onto the next train.

It's a very uncomfortable situation as everyone is squashed together like sardines on the platform. When a train arrives, there is barely enough room for people to get off the train before the crowd surges forward to get a place. Once we're on the train, the carriage is jammed full of commuters. It can be so bad that I can hardly breathe sometimes. Then, after a long, tiring day at work, we both have to face the same thing again on our return trip. The worst time has to be in the summer. You can imagine the smell in the hot and stuffy carriages. It is really awful. I make this journey five days a week, and I wish there was another option to travel. To be honest, if there was another way to get to work, I would jump at the chance because I really dislike my daily commute.
