　　◎How to make up a story 如何讲故事

　　好故事的公式

　　目标→阻碍→努力→结果→意外逆转→结局

　　例：描述一次篮球比赛

　　引入：

　　I'd like to talk about a basketball match I played in the university last year.

　　Basketball has always been my hobby and I played shooting guard in the team of the department.

　　Last year, our team made it into the final of the annual basketballtournament of our university.(shooting guard 得分后卫；made it into the final 打进了决赛；tournament 联赛）

　　目标：

　　Our opponent was the champion for the last three years,whereas for us, that was the first time to enter the final. However, we were pretty confident because we trained very hard and we had a perfect mix of strength and experience.(opponent 对手；champion 冠军；a perfect mix strength and experience 力量和经验队员的完美结合）

　　阻碍：

　　During the first two quarters of the game, our scores were very close. In the third quarter ,however,the other team got pretty aggressive and their score was going up. They kept this advantage into the last quarter...(quarters 节；scores were very close 比分很接近；aggressive 有侵略性的；kept this advantage into 把优势延续到）

　　努力：

　　...when our coach called a time-out,and we decided to change our strategy. Instead of engaging in a lot of passing and one-on-one defense in the center,we chose a more risky approach with more long shots andrebounds. This meant , as the shooting guard. I had to make sure that every shooting opportunity  was not wasted.(time-out 暂停；change our strategy 改变策略；passing 传球；one-no-one defense 人盯人；risky approach 冒险的策略；long shots 远投球；rebounds 篮板球）

　　结果：

　　Then I missed the first two shots. But I didn't have time to feel sorry for myself (missed 丢掉了）

　　意外逆转：

　　When another opportunity came, I seized it. Bang! The ball went right in. One after another, I scored three times in a row！( seized 抓住了；in a row 连续）

　　结局：

　　So,with perfect teamwork,we finally defeated the opponent and became the champion for the first time!

　　It surely felt great to be the champion,but what makes the win so special is to witness how our hard work eventually paid off. I know we wouldn't have made it had we not been training so hard up to the game.(paid off 得到回报）
