　　Describe a goal you’d like to achieve in the future.

　　You should say:

　　What goal it is;

　　Why you’d like to achieve it;

　　How to achieve it;

　　And how you feel about it.

　　话题分析

　　这是一道抽象物品类话题，说的是你想达成的一个目标。

　　题卡是“描述一个未来你想达成的目标”。我们可以从两个层面来选择这个目标：1. 生活中的目标，如减肥、健身、学习某项技能等等。2. 学习中的目标，如考雅思、获得奖学金、当选学生会主席等等。

　　题目分解，第一个问题“what goal it is”。大家除了说这个目标之外，也可以给出一些细节或背景介绍，如数据的介入或流行程度等等。

　　然后“why you would like to achieve it”。对于why的话题，我们可以从“主观”和“客观”两个角度入手，如结合自身原因以及这是一个很多人都想要达成的目标。

　　接下来“how to achieve it”。在“如何达成”这一项中，大家可以说一个过程，如first，and then，finally等等。

　　最后解释“how you feel about it”。大家可以从积极和消极两个方面入手。

　　I’d like to describe a goal I want to accomplish in the near future, which is live an independent life. I mean I hope I will be able to find a decent job after graduation, which will help me to afford my own place. I think I’ll also need to learn how to cook so that I won’t have to eat out all the time, which will not only be a healthy lifestyle, but economical as well.

　　The first reason why I want this goal is that I’m an adult now, and it is only natural for people like me to want complete control over their own life. I mean I can’t expect my parents to continue to support me. Besides, I’ve sort of had enough of all the nagging from them. The second reason is my girlfriend. She hopes that I will stay in Shanghai after graduation so that we can be together. So, if I want a future for me and my girlfriend together, the first step is to become independent.

　　Well, in order to achieve this goal, first, I need to finish college and get my degree. And then, I’ll start sending out resume and taking job interviews. Of course, the first few months will be pretty tough for me, and I’ll be crashing at my friend’s place until I have enough money for renting an apartment. Finally, both me and my girlfriend will move into that apartment and start our own life.

　　To be honest, I feel pretty good about my plan. It gives me a purpose and motivation. I’m confident that it will come true if I work hard and persist. But the most difficult part I guess is to get my parents’ approval. You know, they are typical Chinese parents who like to keep their kids around no matter how old they are. But anyway, I’ll talk to them and they will come around eventually.
