　　Do you like history?

　　Oh definitely. I can derive a lot of pleasure from history. For example, the life stories of historical heroes are far more exciting and intriguing than ordinary novels. The rise and fall of every dynasty can provide lessons for the contemporary nations and help them avoid making the same mistakes. And the description of sages helps me understand where our culture is originated.

　　哦当然。我能从历史中获得很多乐趣。例如，历史英雄的生活故事远比普通小说更令人兴奋和有趣。每个朝代的兴衰都可以为当代国家提供教训，帮助他们避免犯同样的错误。对先贤的描述帮助我理解我们的文化起源于哪里。

　　Did you like history when you were young?

　　Yes, I did. I was very curious about those historical events in ancient times when I was a little boy. I was particularly interested in the experience of historical figures, like how they saved their country with their wisdom, how they eventually failed despite tremendous efforts, and how they overcame various obstacles to achieve goals. I think they are fascinating and educational for a child.

　　When was the last time you read about history?

　　Well, it was last night. I read a book called “Chinese Feudal Society”, which covers a long period from 475 BC to 1840 AD. It briefly introduces the political system, the economic situation, the religious belief, the wars and weapons, the customs of each dynasty, the development of civilization and how they evolved over time. It’s quite interesting.

　　是昨晚的事。我读了一本叫《中国封建社会》的书，内容很长涵盖了公元前475年到公元1840年的事。它简要介绍了政治制度，经济形势，宗教信仰，战争和武器，每个朝代的习俗，文明的发展和如何演变，非常有趣的。

　　Have you ever been to historical museums?

　　Yes, I have. I’ve been to historical museums in Beijing, Xi’an, and Shanghai. All of these cities’ establishment can be traced back to thousands of years ago. The Palace Museum in Beijing, founded in 1925 and receives millions of visitors every year, is one of my favorite places during my spare time, because it possesses a lot of priceless antiques.
