雅思口语【智商高的人】Why the person is intelligent？

　　雅思口语话题【智商高的人】What the person does?这个小问题是有关于“Occupation”相关内容的拆解，同时它的解题格式为“按主次拆分”或“按时间线拆分”。既然是有关工作的内容，大家在思考此问题的时候也不用想太多，因为它并不一定要和“Intelligence”产生联系。一个人究竟是什么工作，那么我们就如何回答和他/她工作相关的内容即可。

　　雅思口语【智商高的人】Why the person is intelligent?这道题作为整个part 2最核心的问题，也是我们最需要突出一个人“Intelligent”的部分。可恰恰很多同学此时会有一个疑问，什么叫高智商?

　　如果想不出观点的话，不如我们先来查个字典，了解一下“Intelligence”最本质的定义。

　　柯林斯中是这样解释的：“A person or animal that is intelligent has the ability to think, understand, and learn things quickly and well.”

　　从最基本的定义中我们可以发现，一个聪明的人往往具有比较强的思考理解能力，同时学习能力也很强。那么现在我们也就可以直接把定义作为问题的观点来进行使用。

　　•他/她很聪明是因为学习能力很强

　　那么学习能力强又体现在怎样的细节上呢?不如我们先来拆分一下“学习”到底会包括哪些角度。我大致把它拆分成：学习时长、老师、作业、考试、学习方法、学习内容等这几个最主要的角度。现在我们就可以通过这些进一步拆分出来的角度来思考更为细节性的内容。

　　- 学习时长

　　聪明的人学任何东西都很快。你可能需要1个月的时间掌握一门技术，但他只需要短短几节课就可以了。

　　Example ：

　　I think he is the most intelligent person I know, because he can master any skill in a very short time.

　　I remember clearly a few years ago, we both signed up for a Japanese class, as both of us were obsessed with anime. We were complete beginners, but after only a few lessons, my friend was way ahead of me.

　　A month later, he was able to have conversations with people in Japanese. Even our teacher was amazed by his abilities. I guess some people just have a knack for languages.

　　- 学习方法

　　聪明的人不靠蛮学，靠智学。为此，他们哪怕不怎么学习依旧可以取得高分。

　　Example ：

　　I think my older cousin is the most intelligent person I know.

　　When we were younger, thanks to his high IQ, he would always get high grades without spending anytime studying. I, on the other hand, had to study at least 5 hours a day and he still did better than me.

　　One day I asked him what the secret to his success was. He told me it was very simple, “You need to focus more during class, so you don’t need to study much at night.”

　　After that, I took on board his advice and it worked out well as my grades improved.

　　- 作业 & 考试

　　聪明的人面对作业和考试永远不会有任何负担，同时，他们总是可以不费吹灰之力就取得高分。

　　Example ：

　　He is very smart and intelligent. He is the only person I know who is not afraid of homework and exams. He thinks it is all a walk in the park.

　　2 years ago, we had our college entrance exam. It was regarded as the most difficult and challenging exam in the past 10 years. He was the only person who got a high score.

　　He passed all the subjects with flying colors and even became the Gaokao champion in our province. When we heard the news, we were overjoyed.

　　- 老师

　　聪明的人往往有着很强的自学能力。不管多难的课程，他们都可以无师自通。

　　Example ：

　　The reason I think he is intelligent is that he is good at teaching himself things.

　　It sounds impossible that you could learn a program on your own, however, he did it and he did it very well.

　　He told me that he watched free tutorials online and read books about programming until he got the hang of it. Now he is able to operate Python, Java and C++.

　　- 学习内容

　　聪明的人往往会很多东西。他们精通的不只是单一的一种技能，而是跨度广，有深度。

　　Example ：

　　I think he is intelligent because he is versatile and masters many skills.

　　For example, he is not only good at car racing, but also he can repair the car by himself. He is also a good cook and a talented amateur photographer. Last year, he won first place in an international photo contest for a picture he had taken in Africa.

　　If that wasn’t enough, he is also a technology genius. He is very good at programming and coding. When I get stuck with this, he is the first person I go to.

　　•他/她很聪明是因为思考理解能力很强

　　学习能力强和理解能力强，其实是一样的，但我还是把它们分开来分别进行阐述。

　　-一个思考理解能力强的人，往往会更具有批判精神。他们可以发现别人发现不了的问题。

　　Example ：

　　My classmate in high school is very intelligent and good at critical thinking, so she is able to spot all the mistakes and pitfalls made by others, including teachers.

　　I clearly remember once in physics, she found a mistake made by our teacher. She fidgeted in her seat with a grin waiting for the teacher to finish and quietly raised her hand to point out the mistake.

　　But she never directly said “Hey Mister, you made a mistake.” She would try as much as possible not to embarrass the teacher.

　　- 一个思考理解能力强的人，往往也具备很好的推理能力。他们能根据仅有的内容自己推倒出更多的信息。

　　Example ：

　　My classmate is really smart. We are both studying engineering, but I struggle to understand what the teacher is talking about most of the time. However, he is really good at explaining things, so he always helps me out. I never see him studying really, but I think he knows most of it anyway.

　　I remember once our teacher had no time to finish the last chapter of the book, so he left it as homework for us. It was really tough for me, however, my friend thought it was a breeze.

　　•他/她很聪明是因为他具有创造力

　　除了以上的亮点外，一个聪明的人往往也具备了想象力和创造力，他们可以有很多不同于别人的想法。

　　比如：马云提出了蚂蚁森林来解决环境问题。

　　Example ：

　　Jack Ma is a very intelligent person who has many creative ideas. He is also very good at at problem solving.

　　For example, he is a spokesperson for environmental issues. In order to combat deforestation, he launched a program called Ant Forest. The program motivates people to have an eco-friendly lifestyle.

　　The idea is that people earn virtual energy which they can turn into actual trees. China has a vast desert and so far, thanks to this project, over ten million trees have been planted.

　　比如：张小龙发明了在线漂流瓶和微信小程序。前者用来解决人的孤单问题;后者则是为了释放大家的手机空间以及减少软件的下载时间。

　　Example ：

　　Zhang Xiaolong is an intelligent person who is good at identifying problems and coming up with solutions.

　　Years ago, he launched an add-on program for a very successful messaging service called “virtual floating bottle”. It allows people to write down and send their deepest feelings without knowing who will find it and read it. The add-on has helped people with loneliness and depression.

　　Two years ago, he introduced the concept of “Mini programs”, which are apps within apps. There are a lot of apps in WeChat and there is no need for people to download others individually any more. It’s a revolutionary and highly successful.
