　　话题分析

　　这是道是一个经历类话题，需要大家描述一次做志愿者的经历。关于志愿者经历，大家可以说的主题有很多，比如：环保类志愿者，教育类志愿者，以及社区活动类志愿等等。题目分解：

　　第一小问“what it was”大家需要在开篇直接介绍这次志愿者经历具体是什么事情，事情发生在什么地方，什么时间，跟谁一起，以及其他相关背景信息铺垫，比如需要对志愿者服务的类型进行解释说明，以及这次志愿者服务发生的原因进行一个细节的阐述；

　　第二小问“Where it was”这个部分大家需要说明这次志愿者经历发生的地点，例如同学们可以从这次经历是发生的国家，城市，生活环境等进行描述；

　　下一个问题是“why you volunteered”，总结来说即是需要各位同学对于本次志愿者经历的起因进行一个说明。例如：参加本次志愿者活动是因为纯粹个人兴趣还是需要为个人背景提升；也可以获取这个志愿者活动信息的渠道去解释，例如是自己在网络上主动搜索得知，还是因为朋友介绍从而参加了这次活动的角度来阐述；

　　最后“how you felt about it”，这就是比较典型的事件类题目里要掺入情绪的描写部分。可以将本次志愿者活动的经历感受可穿插在经历描述当中，如可以将自己在参加志愿者活动前对其的预期和参加完志愿者活动后的感受进行一个对比说明。

　　There is a saying that giving rose in other’s hands, fragrance keeps in mine. This simple sentence shows the pleasure people can get from offering help to others. And that’s what I’ve experienced last year.

　　My friend Zeph’s company held an exhibition displaying young artists’ paintings, which contained his work, in Shanghai. Therefore, he asked me whether I’m interested in translating the introductions and descriptions of those works voluntarily, because he’s in charge of the activity and didn't have enough budget for it. In order to have a better communication with foreign visitors or buyers, translating and interpreting job is quite essential. My language ability needs some improvement though, I still said yes and accepted the task.

　　As you may know, the contents of artwork are usually abstract and romantic, so there were countless obscure words which are hard to find out the corresponding translations in English. But I tried my best to organize my language to reduce the translationese, during which, I had learnt authentic phrases, so literally, even though I worked without payment, I still gained progress in English and made friends who worked in the same group.

　　Later Zeph told me that thanks to our work, he got the compliments from many foreign customers and even sold several paintings, which built my confidence and arose my great interest to be volunteers in the future.
