　　范文：

　　Well, I’m going to talk about the time when I won a Parker pen. I like the pen very much because it writes well, and you know, Parker is a well-known pen brand in the world and it has a good reputation among students like me.

　　Um, I won this pen about half a year ago. I attended a singing competition held in our neighborhood that day. Although I live in a quite small residential area, there are multiple singing amateurs, including me, and we hold some singing matches once in a while. The competition that day was kind of a bigger one, and much more formal, coz we invited a professional singing teacher as one of the judges, so I was very proud that I became the final winner that day.

　　How I won it. um, I’d say I had prepared a lot right before I gave my performance that day. The single process of choosing songs, for example, had taken me about 1 week. I thought about picking English songs, but I was worried it wouldn’t be listener friendly… but there were too many options of Chinese songs you know, Mandarin, Cantonese, pop, rock…yeah it was just too hard to make up my mind…

　　What’s more, I tried my best to overcome my nerves before the match began. I persuaded myself to figure out a serene picture of sky and lake with my eyes closed and repeated calm down, Oscar, calm down Oscar, and it might work you know, coz I didn’t feel nervous at all when I was on stage several minutes later.

　　Anyway, I felt over the moon after having won that Parker pen. It was an awesome pen, like I said, t but the sense of achievement and satisfaction meant more to me. Yeah, it was more important than the pen itself.
