　　Just two weeks ago, I attended a lecture held by my college. You might never imagine that the lecturer is my father. He was invited to give students a lecture because every year my college invites many people from all walks of life to give us a speech to let us know more about our society, life and future My father, a local businessman, was invited this year and what he told us was tremendouslyinteresting.

　　Primarily, he told us that we should never try our best to be the best students in our class, since the best one' sometimes wasn't really the best. The best student only means the one who can always do well in exams but not the one who is really popular at school Sometimes, students with high scores in exams getjealousy from their classmates, which might make them have no friends at school. This can perfectly explain wny ne always got low scores in exams in his school life.

　　On top of that, my father began to provide some suggestions for senior students who are going to work and he said that working hard sometimes was nonsense. People who like to work hard believe that by working hard they can make more money which can make their life better. However, the truth is always opposite. People who sacrifice all his time and energy to work usually have no time at all to enjoy their life. In another way to say, they know nothing about balancing theirlife and work

　　I’m very proud that he is my father as all participants liked his speec which is totally different from what we were told before. He gave us something new and something worth pondering.
