In Southern China, street markets are also teeming with 充满 flowers and pottedplants 盆栽. Flowers like orchids 兰花 and peonies 牡丹 are popular because they are considered especially auspicious 吉利的.

　　Other outdoor marketplaces are associated with the religious 宗教的 aspect of the holiday. These are called temple fairs 庙会 and take place after the holiday begins. Offerings 提供的东西 usually include sugar-work animals 用糖做成的动物 from the lunar zodiac 生肖, prayer scrolls 卷纸 and incense 香.

　　春节期间，去庙里拜拜也成为了很多城市的特色活动。在我的记忆中，每年春晚结束，我们一大家人就会起床去庙里做法事一直到凌晨5，6点。虽然累，但这却成为我最爱的一件事情，因为庙里的早饭格外的好吃。

　　Making colorful lanterns is a happy activity between families and children. The lanterns have different shapes and can also resemble animals, plants, or flowers. Children love making colorful lanterns. They make them in different shapes to be hung in trees or houses, or floated on rivers.

　　Parks will also hang up colorful lanterns, which provide a beautiful view at night. They also make Kongming lanterns, which can fly because the burning candles 蜡烛 heat the air in the lantern. Children write good wishes on the lanterns and let them fly up into the sky.
