　　01. Is reading still the most effective way for people to acquire knowledge nowadays?

　　Well, it's hard to say. Reading is of course an effective way for people to obtain knowledge nowadays. However, talking about the most effective one, I'm not quite sure about that since there are so many methods by which people can learn with effectiveness. Many young people recently like using their mobile phones to watch videos of lectures from top universities online. Those lectures are totally free of charge and certainly more effective than reading books. Meanwhile, with the development of the training industry, it's very convenient for people to take training courses and learn from professional trainers. Both the interaction and guidance offered by trainers are not what reading can provide.

　　02. What are the differences between reading a novel and watching the movie based on the novel?

　　While reading a novel, people are able to gain many skills. Novelists are all good at writing, with selecting beautiful words and using accurate sentences. By reading novels, people's language skills can be greatly improved. Besides, word-to-wordreading sometimes isn't enough for readers to fully understand the meaning of the book and thus their imagination is quite necessary. The combination of readers' imagination and careful reading is the way for entirely getting what writers want to express. During this process, readers skills of both language use and magination can be exercised. However, whatever movie directors want to express can be visualised by movies. The audience can accept the movie easily but they don't have too much thinking about it.

　　03. What should be done to encourage people to read more books?

　　There are some ways that we can try to offer chances for people to read more books. I'd like to say that we don't need to stress the importance of reading over and over again since most people know how important it is for them. Nonetheless, they don't have time to read sometimes. Therefore, the prime thing for us is to convert more books into electronic versions so people can read those books with their mobile hones whenever they have spare time. Secondly, for schoolchildren, they should be offered more time for reading. What I mean is that their homework and exams should be decreased, and thus they have enoug time for reading. It would be beneficial for them to develop reading habits when they are young. After growing up, they will naturally keep their readina habits.

　　04. Do you think females tend to read the same books as males? Why?/Why not?

　　In my country, I have to point out that males read different books from hat females read. Most males like to read books about how to make success in their careers, likeHow to Be the Top 10 Salesmen in Your Company and some biographies of celebrities are also welcomed by male readers. Instead, romantic fictions are always what can attract female readers most. For men, those books might be fairly boring since whatever the hero and the heroine have experienced in the novel, they finally will fall in love with each other and live together happily. Some men even don't understand why women like reading a novel with knowing its ending already. That's what I see in my daily life.
