　　2.What kind of expensive things do people like to buy?

　　I’m not sure about that but I suppose people tend to buy expensive electronic gadgets, clothes, shoes, among others. Well, as you know a lot of people nowadays go for brandedgadgets like those from giant companies like Apple and Samsung, simply because they’redurable, stylish, and sometimes serve as a status symbol. Also, some people want to dress in designer label clothes because those make them feel good and fashionable. I think it’s good to reward ourselves with some expensive things every now and then as long as we can afford to buy them, but having said that, we also need to be aware not to splurge on expensive things that won’t add value to our lives.

　　译文：我不确定，但我想人们会倾向于购买昂贵的电子产品，衣服，鞋子等。现在很多人都喜欢品牌产品，例如苹果和三星等大型公司的产品，因为它们耐用，时尚，有时还可以作为一种身份象征。另外，有些人喜欢穿名牌服装，因为它们让人感觉良好且时尚。我认为，只要负担得起，时不时地以一些昂贵的东西奖励自己挺好的，话虽如此，我们也要注意不要乱花钱在那些对我们生活没啥用的东西上。
