　　‐(Identify) Ways in which people can meet strangers

　　There are many ways to meet strangers by engaging in activities that interest you. If you enjoy outdoor activities, you can meet people when you go for a hike or when you take a tennis class. If you enjoy reading, you can easily meet people by joining a book club or going to a library. If you enjoy socializing, going to a happy hour is definitely an easy way to chat with strangers.

　　‐(Describe) The places where people can meet others that they don’t know.

　　There are a lot of places to do this and it depends on what kind of people you would like to meet. Nearby parks or cafes will be great places if you want to meet people in your neighborhood. If you like to meet people who like exercise, health and fitness clubs or sports events will be where you can find them.

　　‐(Agree/disagree) It is always dangerous to meet someone you don’t know.

　　I disagree with this point of view. Meeting someone you don’t know can broaden your horizon and let you learn something new and exciting. It is fairly common these days and often works out fine. There are risks when you get together with someone for the first time, especially if you only met them online. You should try to take precautions such as making the first few meetings public and brief and not to disclose any personal information.

　　‐(Identify) Personal qualities that makes a person popular.

　　I think one of the most important qualities is being open and genuine. Unlike teenagers in high school where good-looking kids or basketball captains enjoy the most popularity, likable people in the adult world are generally sincere, and they act on their promises which make them reliable and trust worthy. In addition, they are also open minded and are good listeners. They will try to respect others and not to assume their opinions are the only right ones.

　　‐(Describe) The personal qualities needed to be an attractive person

　　First, like I mentioned above, someone who is open and genuine will be very attractive. Second, they are humorous. After all, who doesn’t enjoy laughing? Whenever we come across with someone who has a great sense of humor and makes everyone laugh, he or she will always surrounded by lots of people who love being around them. In addition, people that are empathic are also attractive. They always try to relate to others and offer help in any way they can, and they don’t expect perfection: they try to understand and tolerate weakness from others.

　　‐(Consider) Whether a person works better with peopleW who are very similar or very different

　　It is definitely easier for people to work with those that are similar to them. If people have similar backgrounds in education, culture and the way they grow up, it will be easier for them to find common ground and reduce conflict when they work together. In addition, it will be easier to work with someone who has a similar value system and work ethic to your own, since it will be less likely for you to feel the work is unfair or the purpose of the work should be different.

　　【P3】3、Understanding others

　　‐(Outline) Reasons why people nowadays don’t want to get to know other people

　　There are a couple reasons for that. Nowadays people are very busy with their work and family lives, which make them unwilling to expend much energy to know others because they think it is too much work. Other than this reason, sometimes people don’t want to know others because they are biased and judgmental. When these people see others that come from different countries, ethnicity and education backgrounds, they tend to have a prejudice that those people are supposed to be different which will make it uncomfortable or inconvenient to get along with them.

　　‐(Consider) Why it is often difficult to understand others

　　First of all, factors like generation gap, cultural differences and age differences can make people form different value systems and therefore they view things differently. Such differences make it hard for people to understand and accept different points of view. Secondly, People tend to be biased or have pre-conceived notions, mostly due to their own different life experiences, which also make it difficult to open to very different ways of thinking.
