  雅思口语Part2

I want to share you the story about how I learned to ride a bicycle. When I was in primary school, I was so obsessed with motorcycles and bicycles, thinking that they are the most fascinating inventions of the world. And all I wanted for birthday was a new bike, so that I won’t have to ride my old one with four wheels, which had been used by my brother when he was young.

Fortunately, on my 7th birthday, I received one new bike from my dad, and I couldn’t wait to let him teach me how to ride, so I pulled him downstairs right after dinner. Unlike me, my dad was calm and patient, first of all, he explained to me the precautions of cycling: my eyes should be looking forward, and my body should be relaxed and not be nervous. Then, my father held the bicycle and let me sit on the seat and use my right foot to step on the pedal, with my left foot remaining on the ground to support myself. With my father’s command, I put mu left foot on the pedal and stated to ride slowly. At first it was really hard for me to keep balance and nearly fell for several times, but with his help, I gradually found the way to be less nervous nd ride forward. After about half an hour, I was already good at riding, and I excitedly rode my new bike for the whole evening, it was really great, actually, I mean, the process was tough for my dad and me, of course, but finally we made it. The experience taught me a lesson, that no matter how difficult the task is, if you try hard enough, things may be different at last.
