　　What volunteer work do high students in foreign country usually do?

　　I’m not very familiar with voluntary work in foreign country but according to what I have heard, the most common ones are cleaning up public areas, taking care of animals, helping people who are disabled. Essentially it could be anything you do to contribute to the society as long as it does not aim for profit.

　　Why people don’t want to work abroad

　　I suppose they are not used to the unfamiliar environment in another country. Commonly, working abroad means a better salary which everyone would pursuit. However, the culture, language, climate can all be obstacles that make people give up working abroad.

　　Is it good for students if they work part-time?

　　Absolutely, working part-time not only enables students to recognize the hardship of making their own living, but also provide them a better understanding of the job which may affect their career choice.

　　What else can benefit the students if they work in an international company?

　　Firstly, an international company should be at least bilingual, which gives students opportunity to practice their second language. Also, working in an international company provides a broader horizon than a local company.

　　How do you like the experience of going abroad?

　　I enjoy travelling abroad so much. Living in a completely different environment forces me to speak a different language and meet new people, which releases my stress from daily life. Especially when there is a huge distinction between my culture and the local community, it feels like adventuring in another world.

　　Is a foreign language important in an internet company?

　　Definitely. I believe speaking a foreign language fluently is a must in an international company because there will be inevitably connections with other branch of the company where their employee does not speak your language. Although translation software is increasingly developed, interpreted language can hardly convey the emotion contain in the words.

　　Is the salary of international Internet companies higher than that of Chinese Internet companies?

　　According to my knowledge, yes. Internet company requires employee to have a high skill set in computer since. So, it is more difficult for them to master another language at the same time. A higher salary is worth to be paid for the extra skills that employees have.

　　What can be the problems when working in a foreign country?

　　Many problems can occur due to cultural conflict. For example, people in different countries have various attitudes toward leisure time. In western countries, employees tend to enjoy their personal time when they get off work while employee in eastern countries are more likely to sacrifice their leisure time for extra tasks. Being ignorant of such office cultures may leave a bad impression among colleagues and superiors.
