　　The area of science I would like to talk about today is actuallycosmology, which is a branch of astronomy concerned with the studies of the origin and evolution of the universe.

　　Astronomy has always been my passion since my childhood. I still remember the first time my mom bought an encyclopediafor me. I was so intrigued by the fascinating photos of the cosmos.

　　But as I grew up, I had no extra energy to spend on exploring my interests until I watched the film the theory of everything, which is a brilliant film about Stephen Hawking and his lifetime devotion, contributuion to cosmology. What he said in the film was really impressive, I still remember he said that cosmology is the religion for all the intelligentatheists. What they do believe is a single unifying equationthat explains everything in the universe. I was impressed and started to watch documentaries and films(mostly science fiction) about space,stars, black holes, and galaxies.

　　What intrigues me most about cosmology is the infinity of the universe. Space is endless and limitless. Every time I feel annoyed or stressed out, all I need to do is to think about the universe. We're all small in it. It seems that my trouble doesn't matter anymore.

　　Another reason is that everything in the universe seems somysterious. I always wonder whether there is life on another planet. If there were, what kind of life form would those creatures be?
