　　特征

　　■ 新闻最主要的三个特征分别是实时性real-time（具有时间限制），真实性authenticity（反映的内容必须是真实的）和准确性accuracy（报道的时间time、地点place、人物people必须与事实truth相符合）。

　　结构

　　■ 新闻在结构上，一般包括标题title、导语introduction、主体subject、背景background和结语conclusion五个部分。标题、导语、主体是消息必不可少的indispensable，背景和结语有时则蕴涵在主体里面，有时省略。

　　语体

　　■ 新闻语体News style的语言language风格的变异,受时代epoch/era/times风格、民族national风格和个人personal风格的影响最为明显.特别是现代新闻媒体Modern news media飞速发展的今天,新闻语体种类日趋纷繁,语言风格对新闻语体的影响也日趋突出。

　　1. 中学生应不应该学习国际新闻？

　　回答可以从正面，比如国际新闻的学习可以获得经济、文化、政治的全面学习，有助于开阔国际视野；也可以从反面，比如对于将来会报考工程专业的学生学习国际新闻浪费时间内，现有课程压力已经很大，再增添一门课程对学生负担太重。

　　正面回答：Sstudents should have a wide breadth of knowledge beside basic academic skills, whether it be cultures, economic status, politics or religion in different nations. In response to this, the study of news in different countries seems to be a fairly effective way for them to obtain information of these realms simultaneously.

　　学生除了需要有基本的学术技能外，最好要具备广泛的知识面。研究不同国家的新闻可以获得相关领域的信息。

　　反面回答：Here do exist students who consider the learning of international news astime-wasting. The interest in social science is not universally applicable to every teenager; it would be absurd to oblige one to study what might be irrelevant to his or her future career./To add an extra class on curriculum may exacerbate the heavy school load for some students who have already been inundated with other compulsory courses.

　　学习国际新闻课程会进一步给孩子们增加学业负担。

　　2.记者报道是否有主观意识偏差？

　　Q:Do you think when reporters report the news, they can actually change what happens?

　　A:Well, I think it does happen in many situations. For journalists, they need to dramatize news to arouse people’s attention. In this way, they tend to add their own arguments（加入自己的观点） to the facts by laying emphasis on something andweakening or even ignoring some points（弱化或忽略了某些因素） in the whole event. Then, although the whole story line remains the same, the audience’s reactions to the facts could be totally different, which can be regarded as making changes to what happens.

　　3.本地新闻vs国际新闻？

　　Q:Which kind of news is more popular, domestic news or international news?

　　A:It’s really hard to say which one is more popular than the other. I think currently international news tends to attract more people’s attention because today’s world is undergoing complicated changes. People keep up with international news to be informed of what is happening in other countries. While for elderly people, I believe they are more keen on local news because they may feel more connected to local news and find it more relevant than international news.
