　　Growing up, I was never good at public speaking but I always enjoyed telling stories. I have had the talents to make something boring sound fun and entertaining. I was always asked to tell stories in front of my classmates in primary school and even the teacher got hooked on what I said! In addition, my friends told me that I am able to explain difficult information, complicated feelings or awkward situations in a way that is easy to understand and resonate with others. Due to all of these qualities, my perfect job would be a host for business r finance TV shows.

　　I didn’t grow up knowing about this role. In fact, I have never watched any shows about business or money on TV before going to grad school. Being a finance major, we were incentivised to tune in to financial news on major TV channels in order to follow the market, or even just for the sake of completing homework assignments. To my surprise, I find those shows not any less entertaining than celebrity news. The hosts usually have degrees in broadcasting or journalism or have years of financial work experiences, and their jobs are to present the latest financial news every day. These shows are usually a combination of news and talk programs, with analyses, comments or even debates on the latest financial issues; from investing in stocks and economic announcement to entrepreneurship and business expertise. Therefore, in addition to presenting their own comments, hosts also need to interview guests who have opposing points of view.

　　I realize that being a TV host is an ambition for many others. But unlike acting, there is much less tangible guidance. You only need to play yourself, therefore, you must be confident so that you can make the audience or on-camera guests feel comfortable as well. Another quality that a host has is a natural curiosity. To conduct a good interview, the host will need to have genuine interest in talking to people, quickly learning about their views and furthering along the conversations. I think these kind of tasks are perfect fit for my personalities and strengths.
