　　Why are some people less interested in reading books nowadays?

　　well, it is no secret that people in this generation,especially the millennials are soengrossed with the use of internet technology.The internet offers a wide array ofentertainment such as social media, online games, video channels - to name a few thatdistracts them from cultivating an interest in reading books.

　　This is a common issue that this generation is facing and it is a saddening truthbecause some people nowadays are becoming less and less sensible. I believe parentsshould encourage their children to read books at an early age so that when theybecome grown-ups, their love of reading remains and they will not be distracted veryeasily by the other forms of entertainment that do not add value to their lives.

　　译文∶嗯，这一代人尤其是千禧一代普遍沉迷互联网。网上有各种娱乐活动，例如社交媒体，在线游戏，视频频道，这些活动让人们分心，无法培养对阅读书籍的兴趣。这是这一代人面临的一个普遍问题，是个令人遗憾的事实，因为当今有些人变得越来越不懂事了。我觉得家长们应该鼓励孩子从小读书，这样他们长大后就还会保留对阅读的热爱，不会轻易被其他没什么意义的娱乐形式分心。
