　　Describe a time when you ate something for the first time

　　You should say:

　　What you ate

　　When you ate it

　　Where you were

　　And how you felt about it

　　#话题分析

　　说到food相关扩展，无非就是与口味、外观、感官、做法、功能等特性相关，考虑到这道题目的最后一个小问涉及主观感受类的描述，这个角度建议大家从口感或功能特性方面拓展比较符合题意。

　　What you ate

　　第一小问比较简单，首先说明食物的名称是什么，可以从这个食物的type/shape/colour等方面来描述，还可以加入这个食物的发源历史来增加亮点。

　　Example：

　　At one sushi restaurant, I tried scampi for the first time. It’s the kind of prawns that live at the depth of sea, and they are known for their extremely fresh taste. They looked very nice to me, as they’re very meaty,and a bite of it was so satisfying.

　　When you ate it

　　第二次小问类似于要描述吃到这种食物的经历，是出于什么原因而吃到这个食物，比如在旅行中吃到了当地的特色美食，比如长辈/家人做的地道美食。

　　Example one：

　　I was travelling in Malaysia that summer, and at a local restaurant at Kuala Lumpur, I saw durian fruit in the menu. When I was in China, I heard of this fruit and saw it at the fruit market.

　　Example two：

　　I remember I was staying at my grandma’s house for summer vacation, and I was only 7 years old. One day, my grandma cooked some bitter melon which I had never heard of, let alone tried it.

　　Where you were

　　第三小问与第二小问关联度比较强，在哪里吃的范围很广，可以是某个城市/国家，也可以是某家餐厅或某个人的家里。

　　Example：

　　Back then China wasn’t as westernized as it is now, so we didn’t have many McDonald’s in the city.But my dad wanted me to try something new on my birthday that year, so he took me to McDonald’s near my school.

　　And how you felt about it

　　最后一个小问是重中之重，因为涉及到很多细节类描述，要求描述出这个食物的口味或感官体验如何，如果大家在这方面的词汇量比较匮乏，没有思路拓展的话，可以往healthy lifestyle这个角度来作补充。

　　Example：

　　I refused to have anymore, but my grandma insisted that it was very good for my health, and I was convinced somehow, so I ended up finishing the dish.
