　　I’d like to describe a company called Lianjia which offers real estate brokerage services like buying, selling and renting for the clients. In Shanghai, there are Lianjia branches in almost every residential area. I think Lianjia is the biggest of its kind in Shanghai.

　　Due to its size, I believe it employs lots of people most of whom are real estate agents who help their clients buy, sell and rent houses and get a commission for every deal. Well, I don’t know the exact number of agents Lianjia has under its employ, but I think it must thousands. And as far as I’m concerned, anyone can work for this company. In other words, this kind of job has a very low threshold, which doesn’t require high academic degrees. As long as you can speak properly and are willing to serve, you can work there.

　　I find Lianjia pretty reliable and the people there are friendly and trustworthy. I’ve been living in Shanghai for over ten years, and been living in rented apartments. Every time I’m looking for a new apartment, the first agency I think of is Lianjia because unlike those agents from other agencies, people there don’t try to rip you off. Over these years, I’ve learned that the price they offer is the lowest in the market, and the after-sale service is satisfactory. And that explains why Lianjia has the greatest market share in Shanghai.
