　　The natural resources such as oil, forests and freshwater are being consumed at an alarming rate. What problems does this cause? How can we solve these problems?

　　In this day and age, natural resources including oil, forests and freshwater have become precious commodities that are gradually depleting. This has become an issue that plagues billions of people and is an urgent problem that needs to be solved.

　　At present, a lack of natural resources has caused the prices of certain commodities to skyrocket, leading to a bidding war that only the wealthy can afford. On the contrary, the impoverished are left with few resources to share among themselves and need to suffer the consequences. Furthermore, the consumption of fossil fuels is creating higher levels of pollution, opening up gaps in the atmosphere and exacerbating global warming, which affect the entire world’s population in adverse ways.

　　As for potential solutions, a greater emphasis needs to be placed on utilising renewable energies including solar, wind, hydroelectric or biomass, in order to ease the burden fossil fuels has on our planet. A large number of trees needs to be planted in as many regions as possible and deforestation ought to be managed to replenish the world’s supply of trees. Moreover, with respect to freshwater, citizens need to be educated, starting at an early age, about the dire importance of water, leading them to conserve their daily usage. Government also needs to crack down on industrial pollution and penalize factories for emitting toxic pollutants into rivers, lakes and seas.

　　All in all, the depletion of natural resources can be dealt with through the implementation of effective policies and the advancement of technology.
